You’ve never seen a daycare program like this before. Playtime is great, but what if you want more from your dog’s day?

Our Day and Train program features a variety of enriching activities for your dog so they are stimulated both mentally and physically. This includes:

Private Obedience Training (‘Sit’, ‘down’, ‘place’, and recall)

Individual and Pack Walks

Intensive Exercise on Treadmills

One-on-One Play with our Trainers (tug, fetch, or chase with the flirt pole)

Customized Social Play with Compatible Playmates

This program is completely customizable to your dog’s behavioural and training needs.

TRAIN

Our comprehensive dog training classes are designed to address a range of training needs, including reviewing essential commands like 'Sit,' 'Down,' 'Place,' and recall, as well as addressing leash walking, reactivity, nervousness, and anxious behaviors. Our trainers will customize the program based on your specific requirements and goals, ensuring a personalized approach to meet your dog's unique needs.

EXERCISE

Our Day and Train program offers more than just obedience training and social time; it also prioritizes your dog's fitness and physical well-being. In addition to working on commands and behavior, our trainers incorporate specialized fitness activities into the program. Your dog will have the opportunity to run on treadmills or slat mills to improve endurance and cardiovascular health. They will also engage in high-intensity games of fetch or tug, which not only provide mental stimulation but also promote physical strength and agility.

PLAY

At Academy Daycare, we understand that some dogs require a structured and patient approach to socializing with other dogs. That's why our dog day training program focuses on facilitating positive social interactions. We carefully curate small play groups, matching dogs with compatible playmates, to create a safe and supportive environment. Through supervised play sessions, your dog will have the opportunity to interact, play, and learn from their canine companions, helping them open up and gain confidence in social settings.

CALM

We understand that many dogs struggle with impulse control, both during training sessions and in their everyday lives, making our day training for dogs particularly beneficial. That's why our trainers focus on teaching the dogs how to achieve a calm and neutral state in their designated 'place' command, regardless of the surrounding distractions. Through patient guidance and consistent practice, we help dogs develop the ability to stay composed and centered, enhancing their overall self-control.

FAQs

THE SPACE

Indoor: 6200 sq. ft | Outdoor: 1200 sq. ft

Our facility is divided into three different playrooms and our Day and Train space. Each playroom is comprised of dogs of similar size and temperament. We maintain a 1 person to 17 dog ratio in every playroom, and have additional staff on hand to monitor and assist as needed. The playrooms are fitted with high-durability rubber flooring to cushion and protect the dogs during play. The facility is temperature controlled with brand new heating and cooling system and is fitted with two industrial strength HVAC Air Filtration systems to circulate and purify the air throughout the facility. Each playroom is equipped with a cleaning and sanitation station for spot cleans and receives a full cleaning at the end of every day.

Our ample yard space provides each play group with tons of room to run and play during potty breaks. This playtime can be a great opportunity to reinforce positive behaviors learned in our Training programs.
